Da Frat Pack Tribute
Will Ferrell won the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor at the
Kennedy Center in Washington DC earlier this evening. The ceremony will
be broadcast on PBS on October 31st. Among the attendees were Ferrell’s
friends including Jack Black, Conan O’Brien, Ben Stiller, Paul Rudd,
Adam McKay, Tim Meadows, and Molly Shannon.
The honor for Ferrell is the nations highest prize for humor. As a
regular on Saturday Night Live, as a movie actor, writer and producer,
and later taking his game to Broadway as well as the internet, Ferrell
has become a beloved figure in our country and culture. According to
published reports, Ferrell commented after receiving the award that the
Kennedy Center is “one of the few places that uphold comedy as what it truly is, an art form.”
